Terms and Conditions
The terms on which Ajax Pickering Hospital Foundation makes win4carcer.ca available, and how they sit alongside the Rules of Play and the licence conditions.
Last updated 16 June 2026.
1. What these terms cover
These terms apply to your use of win4carcer.ca and everything on it: the pages, the account area, the forms and the material published here. Using the site means accepting them. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.
The site is operated by Ajax Pickering Hospital Foundation, a registered charity, charity number 141132662RR0001, with its office at 580 Harwood Avenue South, Ajax, ON L1S 2J4, Canada. Written enquiries go to support@win4carcer.ca.
2. What governs a ticket purchase
This website describes the Win4Cancer Lottery. It does not sell tickets and it is not the contract under which a ticket is bought. Two other documents do that work, and both outrank this page.
- The Rules of Play, published in full on this site, which set out prices, eligibility, the draws, the prizes and how a prize is claimed.
- The conditions attached to the licences issued by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario: Main Prize Lottery Licence # RAF1553326 · 50/50 Draw Lottery Licence # RAF1553324.
Where anything on this website disagrees with the Rules of Play or the licence conditions, the Rules of Play and the licence conditions govern. That applies to summaries, to answers in the FAQ, to figures on the raffle page and to this document. A summary is a convenience, never a substitute.
Your purchase itself is also subject to the terms of the raffle system operated by BUMP, A Division of Canadian Bank Note Company Ltd., which takes the payment and issues the ticket.
3. Who may take part
Tickets may only be purchased by persons who are at least 18 years of age and physically located in Ontario at the time of purchase.
Rule 16 of the Rules of Play lists the people who may not enter, which includes Foundation staff and directors, the senior leadership and board of Lakeridge Health, employees of the raffle supplier and of the dealership, anyone in the same household as those people, and employees of the AGCO. A ticket held by an excluded person is not a valid ticket.
A ticket bought in breach of the age or location conditions is void. Where that is discovered before a draw, the ticket is removed from it. Where it is discovered after a draw in which the ticket won, the prize is not awarded and the matter is handled as the AGCO directs.
4. No payment is taken on this site
This website does not sell tickets, does not operate a cart, and never receives or stores card data. All payments are completed inside the AGCO-approved electronic raffle system.
The account area contains a calculator that adds up ticket packages so you can see what a combination comes to. It is arithmetic. It does not reserve tickets, does not create an entry in any draw, does not generate a ticket number and does not charge anything. Only the raffle system can sell you a ticket.
Ticket numbers you save in your account are a personal record of numbers already issued to you elsewhere. Saving a number does not enter it in a draw, and deleting one does not remove it from a draw.
5. Sales are final
Ticket sales are final. No refunds or exchanges.
This applies to tickets bought online and to tickets bought at a point-of-sale terminal. Once a ticket has been issued it cannot be cancelled, exchanged, transferred to a different draw or refunded, including where a purchase was made by mistake.
Tax receipts cannot be issued for lottery ticket purchases.
Donations are different and do receive a receipt. The Donate page explains the distinction.
6. Estimated figures
The 50/50 jackpot shown on this site is an estimate. Estimated. The 50/50 prize is exactly 50% of all 50/50 ticket sales and is final only when sales close.
The figure moves while the campaign runs and is refreshed from the raffle system. It may be a few minutes behind, and it carries no promise about what the final prize will be. The prize actually paid is calculated by the raffle system after sales close, from the tickets it recorded as sold, and that calculation is final.
The same caution applies to countdown timers, ticket availability and any other live figure: the raffle system is the record, this website is a display of it.
7. Website accounts
An account is optional. You can buy tickets, read the rules and check results without one.
You must be at least 18 years old and live in Ontario to hold an account, and you confirm both when you create one. The details you give must be your own and must be accurate. One account per person.
Account details are held in this browser and are not sent anywhere. Your password is stored only as a one-way derivation, never as text.
Because the account lives in your browser, you are responsible for the device it is on. Clearing browser data deletes the account and everything saved with it, and the Foundation has no copy to restore. Nothing in the account is a substitute for the confirmation email or the printed ticket, which remain your proof of purchase.
The Foundation may withdraw account features, or the account area as a whole, at any time. Doing so does not affect any ticket you hold.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- present yourself as the Foundation, the hospital, the raffle supplier or the regulator;
- use the site to advertise, sell tickets on, or run any competition of your own;
- attempt to interfere with the site, its security controls or its availability;
- extract content by automated means for republication;
- submit anything unlawful, abusive, or designed to mislead another visitor;
- use the site from outside Ontario to attempt a ticket purchase.
The Foundation may block access where it reasonably believes any of the above is happening.
9. Content and intellectual property
The text, layout, code, images and design of this site belong to Ajax Pickering Hospital Foundation or to those who licensed them to it, and are protected by Canadian copyright law. The Win4Cancer Lottery name and mark belong to the Foundation.
You may read the site, print pages for your own reference and quote short passages with attribution. Republishing substantial parts, reproducing the design, or using the Foundation's name or mark in your own material needs written permission from the Foundation.
Vehicle names and manufacturer marks are the property of their owners and are used to describe the prize. Their appearance implies no endorsement of this lottery by them.
10. Links to other services
The only external link on this site points to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, which regulates the two licences under which this lottery runs. It is provided so you can verify what is claimed here.
The Foundation does not control that website and is not responsible for it. Where the Foundation later adds a link to the raffle system or to a donation provider, that service is operated by a separate organisation under its own terms and its own privacy policy, and the Foundation is not responsible for it either. Read those terms before you use those services.
11. Availability and accuracy
The Foundation takes care that the information here is accurate and current, and corrects mistakes when it finds them. Even so, the site is provided as it is. The Foundation gives no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of anything harmful, and no warranty of fitness for any particular purpose beyond describing the lottery.
The site may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside the Foundation's control. Sales deadlines do not move because this website was unreachable. The deadlines in the Rules of Play stand, and tickets are also sold at point-of-sale terminals throughout the campaign.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, the Foundation is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of this site, including lost opportunity, lost data, or a purchase you intended to make and did not.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under Ontario law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002. If any part of this section is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
Liability for the conduct of a draw, the validity of a ticket and the award of a prize is governed by the Rules of Play and the licence conditions, not by this page.
13. Responsible play
The Win4Cancer Lottery is a way to support Ajax Pickering Hospital and a form of entertainment. It is not a way to make money and should never be treated as one.
The Foundation asks you to set a budget before you buy and to treat it as money given away. The Responsible Gambling page lists warning signs, practical limits and the help lines that operate around the clock. A signed-in supporter can also set a pause that hides every buy control across the site for a period they choose.
Play responsibly. Must be 18+. Ontario only. ConnexOntario 1-866-531-2600.
14. Privacy and cookies
The Privacy Policy explains what personal information is collected, why, how long it is kept and what you can ask the Foundation to do with it. The Cookie Policy lists every cookie category and how to change your consent. Both form part of these terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it. The courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, and you agree to bring any claim there.
Regulatory matters concerning the conduct of the lottery fall to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
16. Changes to these terms
The Foundation may change these terms. The date at the top of the page shows when it last did, and the current version is always the one published here. A change that materially affects you will be flagged on the site before it takes effect. Continuing to use the site after that means accepting the change.
A change to these terms never changes the Rules of Play. Those can be amended only with the approval of the AGCO.
